How do we re-activate groups that have been messed up by social distancing?

This question came to us via student climate activists in Canada. They were used to meeting on campus and recruiting in public spaces outside of classes. Now all college classes are distance learning. Also, they did not keep central contact lists before COVID.

Encouraging them to redraft their organizational charters and prompting the essential questions, such as "what do we want to do" "how do we want to do it" etc.

We heard this same question from student climate activists and recommended Facebook Groups as a good starting point since many of them are on FB (surprisingly). BFC has a guide on this with some good tips here: https://blueprintsfc.org/guide/using-facebook-groups-for-organizing/

Yes, I'll cosign about Facebook Groups. The data has actually always supported that young adults in particular use FB, they just tend to lie about it (lol) and use it differently. The Groups and Events features are heavily utilized and both will be highlighted a lot more by that company in the very near future.
